Working together to learn new things and accomplish goals is a very important life lesson for individuals to learn, and instruction in the martial arts can help develop the necessary skills.
You will learn to listen and focus on what is being taught. Regular training will develop better concentration skills. Having small class sizes means that every student receives expert tuition from our instructors.
Individuals with low self-esteem will find their confidence improves with achievement and progression. The structure of the class encourages students to respect their training partners and their instructors. There are certain rules that you will be expected to follow within the Dojo.
Our syllabus is based around a coloured belt structure. The focus of training should be on the journey, acquiring new skills and overall development and having fun. Striving towards a new belt is a valuable lesson in setting and reaching goals. Students are invited to grade by the chief instructor, when they have achieved the required skill level. During a
Training will develop the student’s awareness of their body, how it functions and how to control it. This process leads to improving fitness, mobility, coordination and strength. The training helps to build self-confidence, communication and teaches a student valuable life skills.
Students will be able to gain a huge amount of insight from our experienced instructors. Most of our instructors are black belt level and above in other martial arts. When training at the Hakudakan students will meet people with similar interests and potentially make lifelong friends. We are a very social club and members have fun while they train. Hakudakan club members are encouraged to get involved, ask questions and express themselves honestly. We believe there is no room for egos in training as there is always more to
As with any sport or martial art it teaches discipline of the mind and body. Training at the Hakudakan teaches students to take care of themselves, and to think about their overall sense of well-being and balance.
