Since Covid-19 lockdown all Martial Arts clubs and many sports have struggled with reopening and getting things back on track. Problems with venues, legislation, new health and safety guidelines have all played a role. GSBA world Championships was a resounding success for team GB and the Hakudkan Contingent did themselves proud winning medals and world titles across the board!
Another resounding success for Team Hakudakan at the April 2018 GSBA British National.
A great day of teaching competitive full contact stick fighting to a group of my students who had never spared stick before at all. I had planed the session to accelerate them to learn as much as possible in 4 hours. After only 1 hour and 10 mins of tuition in stick handling skills they were in the armour sparing.
BST Northampton hosted the 2016 British Full Contact Nationals in November. As alway Damien Mill and his team were fantastic hosts and ran a smooth and highly organised event.
The Hakudakan contingent of Team GB made up over 25% of the entire team. Captained by Barry Harte we were able to achieve 8 world titles across 9 fighters! Team Hawaii / USA were phenomenal hosts and we look forward to visit again soon.
A great result for the club. William won double gold (single & double stick) Tarkan won double gold (single & double stick) and male fighter of the day, Tolga did very well in his first ever comp, good performance.

A landmark event for team GB. Medal tally at this championship put team GB at the top for number of medals and titles won per fighter across all weight classes and divisions.
This was a fantastic padded stick tournament hosted by Guru John Harvey and Guru Jude Tucker. Many FMA practitioners from a wide range of clubs attended and competed. Hakudakan entered 3 fighters an we came back with 5 medals, William 2nd place in the team event, Tarkan 2nd place in the team event and the solo padded stick, Barry 2nd
Another great performance from Team Hakudkan at the G.S.B.A British open and Team GB international Qualifier. Medal Tally was William bronze, Denis double bronze, Barry 1 Gold (British champion) and 1 silver, Rick 1 Gold (British champion) and 1 bronze, Joyti 1 silver, Tarkan 1 Silver.
We had a fabulous result from team Hakudakan with us all fighting some very experienced fighters. We entered 4 fighters, Barry, Rick, Tarkan, Dennis and caused quite a stir.
